UMHB is more than online classes
The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor prepares students for leadership, service and faith-informed discernment in a global society. Academic excellence, personal attention, broad-based scholarship and a commitment to a Baptist vision for education distinguish our Christ-centered learning community.
UMHB was founded with these principles in mind, and that’s what sets our online community apart from other competency-based education programs. UMHB was chartered in 1845 by the Republic of Texas, making us the oldest continuously operating college in the state. This also means that we have a long history of commitment to the quality of education and community here.
All of the coursework for MyWay at UMHB has been meticulously designed by, and is taught by, UMHB professors who are accessible to you and who care about your unique goals and challenges. Having a traditional campus in Belton means that, if you would like, you can meet with your faculty on campus for additional support.
Our vision is to become the university of choice for Christian higher education in the Southwest. Here on campus, we are more than 4,000 students representing more than 29 countries, and we look forward to you becoming a part of our diverse community. With MyWay at UMHB, everything you’ll need to earn your degree is accessible online, including aspects of that community. You’ll have opportunities to interact with your fellow MyWay students and if you choose, experience pieces of campus online.
What are you waiting for? Finish your degree and become a Crusader for life now!
"The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor has an excellent reputation ... so I wasn't as scared of the prospect of going to a competency-based education program." Casey H.
